Consider This Before Buying A Spa

Spa Buyers Guide“There is hardly anything in the world that some man can’t make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man’s lawful prey.”…John Ruskin
What I will attempt to do over the next few days/weeks is put together a buyers guide, so that are armed with as much information as possible when you go out and purchase your very Own Spa Pool. As Mentioned previously anyone can register and post there own questions or reply to any of the posts on this site.
Starting off buying a spa can be a quiet frightening and frustrating experience. What I found when selling spas is that most people really don’t know much when it comes to spas, so when they are pricing up spas they look and Say “Well Spa A is a 5 Person Spa and has X amount of jets and is $4990, However Spa B is also a 5 Person and also has the same amount of jets as Spa A but is $13,990!” So why such a price difference?
Well lets first put it in easy terms that we can all relate to. Lets say you walked into a Mercedes Benz dealer and looked at a 5 Seater Car, it had Power Windows, 6 airbags, ABS, Power Windows and was priced at $110,000. You then go to a Mazda dealer and look at a 5 Seater Car, it had Power Windows, 6 airbags, ABS, Power Windows and was priced at $30,000!!!! Are you Surprised? Well probably not, we all know and expect that a Mercedes will cost more than a Mazda. Why? Well, we understand that the quality and testing and every part of the car in the Mercedes is of high quality and they spend Billions of dollars on R&D so that every year the car is getting, smarter, more efficient and Safer.
While Im not saying that Mazda makes bad quality car but I’m SURE you all agree that you wouldn’t go to a Mercedes Dealer and say to the Sales Consultant, “Listen I want you to match the price on a Mazda that I have seen, It has the Same options, Same Engine size and even the same safety rating!” What do you think the sales consultant do? Probably look at you in a strange manner and think to themselves “They can’t be serious!”.
Its the Same in Spa industry only the spa industry isn’t as well regulated as the car industry and all to often we get spa companies and spa ranges popping up in the market and the spas look great from the outside but what about what you cant see? Shell Construction, Pumps, Heaters, Plumbing, Frame, Supports etc…. These are all hidden away.
So following this post, we will go through each of these items in depth so that you can make an educated decision when making your spa purchase.
Always Remember “A GOOD deal on a BAD spa is NOT A GOOD DEAL”.
